Overall, a denim MUST

Throw out the idea of overalls being just for back-country farmers. At least that used to be my understanding (anyone else??) I’ve recently become just shy of obsessed with this denim overalls trend; and I’m so excited to share with you!

One of my favorite bloggers, Kathleen Post, shared about her Abercrombie & Fitch distressed boyfriend denim overalls. She paired these with a cropped, smocked off-the-shoulder blouse; though these are so versatile! I am wearing a Medium here, though I had the waist taken in about 3 inches. I am 5’4″ and the cropped length was perfect for my 30 inch inseam.

Boyfriend fit means relaxed; and for me, that means EXTRA ROOM FOR THE BOOTY. I was nervous to make this purchase, as I am with most denim pieces. There is no stretch in these overalls, as they are 100% cotton, but the boyfriend fit allows for more comfort and curves *insert celebration emoji here*

WHY I LOVE THESE DISTRESSED BOYFRIEND OVERALLS:

VERSATILITY: easy to dress up or down. Up? Pair with an off-the-shoulder blouse and heeled sandals or wedges. Down? Pair with a cotton body suit or white thermal like I did, and your favorite mules or sneaks!

PRICE: these were originally $110, I purchased them on sale for $39!

QUALITY: A&F has been known for their quality denim for years, and they’ve re-vamped their products recently. Check out this article with more about that!

COMFORT: If you know me at all, you know I’m a huge fan of jumpsuits and rompers. With overalls, I get the best of both worlds: denim jeans cut like a jumpsuit!
