Stay at Home: Amazon Roundup

Ask for a show of hands, who is happy about these recent shelter-in-place orders, and you’ll be looking out into a crowd of people with their hands firmly in their lap. I’ll be the first to admit, this is not great. With the potential for the deadly pandemic that is COVID-19 to sweep across the US in the way it did in China, Italy, and New York, I 100% understand the safety and intention of these shelter-in-place orders. Furthermore, as an Emergency Room Nurse, I much appreciate and support the idea of flattening the curve, allowing hospitals time to develop a surge-plan amidst this unprecedented crisis.

With that said, these past few weeks have been a rude awakening, for many reasons! One among others – having to adjust to working from home, working out from home, eating and drinking only at home, even dating at home. See the common theme here? At home.

Some of the products I’m about to share with you are pieces that Taylor and I have used on the daily, before shelter-in-place orders. Those have only become more necessary during all our time spent at home. I’ve purchased a few new pieces to ease the stress of this seemingly unending times at home. And they are products I know will remain in good use long after life returns to normal…whenever that may be. Excited for you to check these out – Some fun, some practical, all Amazon!

This pajama set was in my Amazon cart for weeks! Absolutely no reason for me to have thought twice about it. I’m living in pajamas on my days off from the hospital; and this matching set makes me feel at least A LITTLE put-together. And if we’re being honest, did you really online shop during quarantine if you didn’t buy something tie-dye?? Can’t figure out how and why this trend came back, but I’m all for it when it comes to jammies! Click on the photo to shop.

These Bluelight Blocking glasses have been a staple for me at work and at home, long before coronavirus. I can speak from personal experience, after hours documenting on a bright computer screen at the hospital, my eyes are truly less tired if I’ve worn these glasses! They are not prescription, however, but are only $15! Not a shift goes by that I’m not sharing these with coworkers, and patient families. Click on the photo to shop.

Here’s what I’m talking about when I say some fun, some practical. This rose gold wine opener is both! I was THAT girl in the grocery check out aisle with half her cart full of wine stocked up for quarantine. This corkscrew has been the perfect addition to our wine collection and bar cart accessories. Absolutely no judgement in treating yourself to a glass of vino after a long day huffing and puffing in your mask. Click on the photo to shop.

Calling camo lovers! This was initially an impulse buy to join in Taylor’s love for camo. But as it turns out, these are a fabulous Lulu Align jogger dupe! The fabric is so buttery soft, and they’re super high rise with a long drawstring. Pair with your favorite tee or tank, and you’re stylin’ for another day at home *no jogging required*. Recommend sizing up one. Click on the photo to shop.

I love this can opener for a few reasons. It is heavy duty, and efficient! I am impatient when it comes to opening cans, but this gadget keeps me at ease. The pistachio color is just the cutest vintage pop of color in our kitchen. Most importantly, have you found yourself eating more canned food during quarantine? They’re shelf stable, and easy forms of protein and veggies. We always have our pantry stocked with canned tuna, green beans, black beans, artichoke hearts, black olives, chicken breast, boneless salmon, and tomatoes. Click on the photo to shop.

Another awesome product I’ve loved for years before coronavirus. I’ve been wearing Dearfoams since living in college dorms back in 2015, and they’ve maintained a wardrobe staple. Recently purchased this beige, faux fur pair, and I’m in love! Another way to make you feel comfy cozy at home, while feeling somewhat put together. Click on the photo to shop.

This cotton throw is so similar to the Sand Cloud Turkish towel we have. It typically serves as a decorative piece on our blanket ladder, but over the past few weeks, this has become a date night staple! Lay out your cotton throw in your backyard, or on your patio, for a sunset picnic! Tay and I are falling in love with backyard happy hours as an impromptu at-home date night. We purchased our vintage, mini Vornado fan when Tay and I first moved in together 3 years ago. We love the way Vornado fans circulate the air in a room far better than your standard oscillating or box fan. The creamy white color blends in to our home aesthetic. Now that it’s warming up, we’ll have our mini fan on all night in our room, and it follows us into the home gym during the day. Click the photo to shop.

Anyone else depressed about not being able to sit at a coffee shop!? In regards to retail closures, second to the gym, I am probably missing coffee dates the most during these times! Our French Press helps me achieve the quality of strong, coffee-shop joe while at home! This press from Amazon makes about 4 cups, which is one laaaarge mug for me. Click the photo to shop.

Last, but in no means least, my favorite Stay-At-Home amazon roundup product! Our spin bike! When the gyms closed end of March, I stressed about how I’d maintain by cardio goals without the equipment. I’m an avid stairmasterer, uphill treadmiller, and spin bike cycler. This product made the most sense for our make-shift home gym. We didn’t want to splurge on a fancy stair master or treadmill, as these times will end eventually, and we’ll be back in the gym. This spin bike is only $150! It folds up and fits in your closet when not in use. Tracking your heart rate, distance, calories, and time, all my cardio goals are met! Highly, highly, recommend!
